VO Editor

Note: Microsoft security essentials has been known to mistakenly flag the download as malware.
VO Editor does not contain malware. (feel free to upload the file to VIRUSTOTAL.COM for analysis)

Dagger installation instructions:

  1.  Download and install the Dagger Updater Software
  2. Installing the software creates a desktop Icon, Right-click on this new icon and click on “Run as Administrator”
  3. When the Updater’s window Pops-up, connect the USB cable provided in the device’s package to the PC and to the Device (the has to be installed on the device)
  4. Once connected, your dagger will give you the option to either charge or upgrade. Using the + and – buttons highlight the update option and press the main fire button.
  5. You’ll be told to go to vo.technology for the firmware. wait a few seconds and you’ll be asked to confirm if you want to update, again highlight the update option and press the main fire button to enter decision.
  6. you should now see the device listed on the updater.
  7. Click “open” and navigate to the folder where you saved the .bin firmware file (usually in your “downloads” folder)
  8. Click on the file and click open, and then click “update on the updater
  9. You should now see a green progress bar. Once finished, the progress bar will disappear along with the device’s name.
  10. The dagger’s boot logo will appear and your device is ready for use.

VO Chipset (Strider & Custom Mods using the Chipset)

  1. Download and install the VO Editor
  2. Installing the software creates a desktop Icon, Right-click on this new icon and click on “Run as Administrator”
  3. When the Editor’s window Pops-up, connect the USB cable (provided in the packaging) to the PC and to the Device (the battery SHOULD NOT be installed on the device)
  4. you should now see the device listed on the updater.
  5. Click “open” and navigate to the folder where you saved the .bin firmware file (usually in your “downloads” folder)
  6. Click on the file and click open, then click the “update” button on the editor
  7. You should now see a green progress bar. Once finished, the progress bar will disappear along with the device’s name.
  8. The device’s boot logo will appear and your device is ready for use.

Boot Logo Template:

The boot logo template has already been set up with the requirements. All you have to do is simply open it with Microsoft paint, create your design, and save!

 

 

Uploading your custom boot logo to either the Dagger or VO Chipset device:

  1. Assuming you’ve already installed either the VO editor or Dagger updater, run either programs as administrator.
  2. Click “Open Logo” and navigate to where you saved your custom logo
  3. Click “Open” and then click “Update Logo”
  4. When finished the green progress bar should disappear along with your device’s name.
  5. Unplug device and enjoy!
